Green Frontiers is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our corporate activities, and to ensuring that our supply chains are free from modern slavery and human trafficking.
This statement sets out the actions taken by Green Frontiers to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business, and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business and its supply chains. This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year.
Green Frontiers is a Tree Surgery company operating in the UK. We carry out domestic and commercial tree work and maintenance.
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:
- Anti-Slavery Policy: Reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.
- Supplier Code of Conduct: Clearly states that we do not tolerate forced, bonded, or compulsory labor, or human trafficking, in any part of our supply chain.
- Whistleblowing Policy: Encourages all employees, customers, and other business partners to report any concerns related to the direct activities, or the supply chains of, the organization.
- Employee Code of Conduct: Defines the actions and behavior expected of our employees when representing the company.
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we have implemented (or are in the process of implementing) the following systems:
- Supplier Assessments: Evaluating new and existing suppliers to identify geographic or industry-specific risks.
- Audits: Conducting regular reviews and, where appropriate, site audits of high-risk suppliers.
- Contractual Clauses: Embedding strict anti-slavery and human trafficking provisions into our standard commercial contracts.
- Protection for Whistleblowers: Maintaining a confidential reporting mechanism to ensure anyone can raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
We regularly evaluate the nature and extent of the organization’s exposure to the risk of modern slavery. We assess risk based on:
- The country of origin of goods and services.
- The specific sector or industry (e.g., agriculture, construction, or manufacturing).
- The use of temporary or migrant labor.
Where a high risk is identified, we engage in heightened due diligence and continuous monitoring.
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our leadership team, with a particular focus on:
- Our Team Leaders on site.
- Human resources personnel responsible for recruitment.
